I’m Kendra, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 2 years of post-license experience and over 5 years of total experience in the mental health counseling field. I’ve worked across multiple treatment settings, including:

Psychiatric hospitals
Residential treatment centers
School-based mental health
Private practice
Telehealth counseling
Outpatient addiction treatment center

Through these experiences, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges interns and new clinicians face — unrealistic expectations, toxic workplaces, burnout, lack of structure, and limited mentorship.

That’s why I created DiscussionsWithKendra LLC: to support developing counselors and provide the clarity and guidance that so many of us wish we had when starting out.
